BENCH DEDICATION PROGRAM
Donate a bench, Muskoka chair, or picnic table in the RCAF Memorial Airpark, and provide a place for visitors to pause, reflect, and remember in the largest living memorial dedicated to Canadian air force personnel.
The NAFMC’s Bench Dedication Program is a unique way to celebrate a special occasion or to honour the memory of a loved one. Seating is affixed with a personalized plaque and is placed in a pre-determined and agreed upon location within our 16-acre Airpark.
All donations to the Bench Dedication Program are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
Plaque
All dedicated benches / tables / chairs are affixed with a plaque that is produced by the Museum. Up to three (3) lines of text can be included, but must follow formatting guidelines:
Line 1: In Memory of / Dedicated to / Donated by
Line 2: RCAF / CAF, Squadron(s), Trade, etc. (optional)
Line 3: Quote, DOB-DOD, Dedicated by (optional)
Location
Donors may request a preferred location in the Airpark, however the Museum cannot guarantee availability. Due to space constraints and depending on the dedicated item, some locations may not be suitable. Staff will work with you to ensure that your dedicated bench/chair/table finds a meaningful home in the Airpark.
Lifetime & Replacement
All benches, Muskoka chairs, and picnic tables are made of 100% recycled, UV-protected plastic. Seating and tables are maintained by the NAFMC for a minimum of 10 years at no cost to the donor. If after this time it needs to be replaced, the donor will be given the first chance to make a new donation for a new bench/chair/table featuring the same plaque. If the donor does not wish to renew their donation, the bench/chair/table will be removed when it is no longer safe / appropriate in the Airpark. The plaque will be removed from the bench/chair/table and made available for the donor.
Dedication Items
Muskoka Chair – $1,000.00
Donated individually or as a pair, Muskoka chairs provide comfortable seating for visitors to enjoy the Airpark.
Bench – $2,500.00
Benches are placed along the walkways of the Airpark, next to Ad Astra Stones, memorial cairns, and aircraft.
Picnic Table (Standard) – $3,500.00
With seating for 6, picnic tables are the perfect spot for a group to enjoy lunch in the Airpark.
Picnic Table (Accessible) – $3,500.00
With space for 1 wheelchair and 4 adults, picnic tables are the perfect sport for a group to enjoy lunch in the Airpark.
