DONATE USED BOOKS
The Sky Boutique has a rotating selection of used books covering a variety of topics related to military aviation. We cannot guarantee the availability of specific titles or the number of books available in this section at any given time. Visit our gift shop to explore what titles we have available!
The Sky Boutique accepts donations of books related to military aviation. If you have a book, or a collection of books, that you are interested in donating please make an appointment with our retail manager using the form on this page.
We are unable to accept walk-in donations. Book donations valued at over $20 CDN are eligible for a tax receipt.
Criteria for Donation
To be considered for donation, books must:
- be related to military and / or military aviation
- be in acceptable condition for resale (no missing covers or pages, no water damage, etc.)
- be free from mold, bug / pest damage
- have no trace of tobacco odor
- be cleared of personal photos, news clippings, and other belongings
- personal items left inside donated books are unable to be retrieved after books have been donated
Books must arrive in clean bags or boxes. Book donations that cannot be processed due to either the condition of the books or storage means will be disposed of an are not eligible for a tax receipt. Only books that meet the above criteria and are accepted for sale in the Gift Shop are eligible for a tax receipt.
Donation Inquiries
Please submit only one donation inquiry at a time. Your donation is not accepted until you receive confirmation from the Museum. Please do not bring items for donation without a scheduled appointment with our Gift Shop. Items that are left for donation without prior arrangement cannot be processed and may be destroyed.
ONSITE SERVICES
From guided tours led by knowledgeable docents to interactive exhibits providing immersive insights into the history of Canadian aviation, the museum offers educational opportunities for individuals and groups alike. Additionally, visitors can take advantage of amenities such as a gift shop offering aviation-themed memorabilia and souvenirs. The museum also hosts special events, workshops, and educational programs throughout the year, making it a dynamic destination for aviation enthusiasts, history buffs, and families seeking an engaging and enriching outing.
